Changes in this service pack:

Fixed a problem where deposit numbers were incrementing by two or three instead of the next number.
Fixed a problem with certain multicurrency transactions where the rate was overridden.

Changes in Service Pack 4:

Fixed a problem with A/P 5.3 compatibility.

Changes in Service Pack 3:

Fixed a problem with receipt error batch entries.
Fixed a problem where returned checks were incorrectly using a G/L source code of "PY" instead of "CK"
Fixed a problem where Batch Listing screens were not defaulting to most recent batch.
Fixed a problem with latest SP2 manufacturing run where data activation was not working.
Installation should now overwrite all existing files (this was an Installshield issue).

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: I have received my activation code but cannot see anywhere to enter it?

A: For all 4.x products, select 'Help' then 'About' from any menu in the Dingosoft product you are registering and then press the 'Register' button. A common mistake is to select help/about from the ACCPAC Company Desktop menu.
You must open a screen in the Dingosoft product (any one will do) eg: open up the Options screen and then select Help/About from the Options screen menu.

For all 5.x products go to the options screen and press the "Activate..." button.

Known Problems

Bank Utilities:

Problem with upgrading from Bank Utilities 4.2A. The upgrade will fall over if upgrading a MS-SQL database. This is due to a bug in the ACCPAC SDK. There is nothing we can do about it, so the solution is to DBCOPY to a Pervasive database, run the upgrade, then DBCOPY back to MS-SQL.
Error opening batch entry screens in new database. You need to go into options first and enter a default bank code.

Mozambique Currency Revaluation

Dingosoft has developed a currency revaluation utility for Accpac users in Mozambique. The Mozambique Metical is being divided by 1000 on July 1^st this year. Dingosoft was asked to provide a solution for Mozambique users following our success with the euro currency conversion.

These types of utilities are not as simple as they sound. You can’t just go and divide every amount by 1000 as you will end up with rounding errors throughout the database. You have to start with the detail level and then manually recreate all the data above that. This requires an intimate knowledge of the Accpac database.
